Nikhinson, Assignment #3

Unique perspective: When my boyfriend and I made rainbow bagels on Valentine's day, I documented what we were doing by only showing his hands working with the dough.

Clark holds a finished rainbow bagel.

Clark kneads the bagel dough prior to adding food dye.

Clark holds a piece of dough after adding in a very large amount of red food dye.

After dying his hands blue, Clark alternates between a baking soda paste and a vinegar bath in order to rid his hands of blue food dye.

Clark rolls out the piece of red dough.

Clark measures the red dough, which had to be 20 x 12 cm. according to the recipe.

Clark presses the sheets of dough together.

Clark cuts away the edges of the dough block in order to shape it into a rectangle.

Clark cute the layered dough block into six strips.

Clark twists one of the dough strips into a bagel.

After wetting the ends of the bagel, Clark dries it with a paper towel before squeezing the two ends together.
