While it might not take place directly on Route 1, R1R is an annual cycling criterium hosted by the University of Maryland Cycling team as a part of the Atlantic Collegiate Cycling Conference. While the course is different this year, going from eight 90 degree corners to four 90 degree corners, it still maintains an angular design that makes for a dangerous course that even professionals can struggle with.
(I mixed up the order of assignments, I'll do a feature next week.)
