Gopin, Mini Photo Essay

 

"Birds"


Wakodahatchee Wetlands Nature Reserve is open in Palm Beach County, Florida. The nature reserve is home to a wide range of animals including alligators, turtles and tropical birds. 


A male Boat-tailed Grackle perches on the boardwalk. 


A Great Egret hides in the plants of the overgrown swamp.


A male Red-Wing Blackbird observes the landscape before taking off to find more sticks for his nest. 


Overgrown roots of the Bald Cypress trees peek out of the swamp water. 


A Tricolored Heron wades in the water. 


Two Northern Shovelers sit on a branch. 


A Green Heron walks around the undergrowth of the pond.


A Grackle perches on an empty treetop. 


Algae thrives in the marsh. 


A common pigeon perches on top of a gazebo.
