This photo, taken by Pete Souza on May 1, 2011, was in the Situation Room, as U.S. forces raided Osama bin Laden’s compound, killing the terrorist. While the photos taken by Pete Souza through out all of Obama's presidency offered a historic access to the presidency, this became one of the most famous photos. Not only does it show President Obama silently watching from the corner, allowing experts to work, but it also documents the gravity of the historic moment. This photo became a counterexample to many photographs of the Trump presidency.
